I have an extensive Design and Project Management background with over 25 years in the Retail, Leisure, Office Design and Residential Design and Construction sectors and have completed my own award winning design and build of a low energy Passive House. I am a Certified Passive House Designer, have completed the AECB CarbonLite Retrofit training course and am part of the AECB approved Certification group. I am qualified as a PAS 2035 Retrofit Co-ordinator and Retrofit Assessor having completed a level 5 diploma in Retrofit Coordination and risk management and level 4 diploma in Retrofit Assessment. and hold a Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings.
I am a member of the AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building), the PassivHaus Trust and The Green Register as well as a supporter of SPAB (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings)..

Clifford Design Ltd aim to help and support clients on their journey to designing and building or Retrofitting a low energy and sustainable home using Passive House principles. They are able to help at all stages from early pre-planning with design principals through to offering design and on site technical advice towards gaining Passive House certification and the AECB Retrofit standard for existing homes. We recognise that clients come with differing experience of the design and build process and are likely to require varying levels of support. As such clients can use our services as much or little as they require to ensure a smooth Design and Build process.
We undertake Consultancy work in New build & Retrofit Design, Design Management and Client Representation specialising in Low Energy and sustainable homes .

I am very pleased to announce that my Design and Build Passive House has won the Guildford Society Design Awards 2020 in the Individual House category. It is great to have the project recognised by local Architects and the Council and to receive the positive comments from the judges on their visit.
